Jack Bartelheim

Jack Bartelheim grew up at Augsburg. His parents and siblings were active members here. Jack was confirmed at Augsburg in 1962 and participated in many Luther League activities throughout high school. Jack attended the University of Toledo following high school. He married Carol in 1972, and they recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. They have three children and eight grandchildren. Jack and Carol enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and taking them to the Toledo Zoo. Jack has a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am which he has taken to several car shows and received different awards throughout the years.

Sylvia Doak Loe

Sylvia Doak Loe is a native of Toledo, attending Scott High School, the College Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati and graduating from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. As a member of the Rockette Choristers, Sylvia toured with them for five years and appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1969. Sylvia began teaching at Mason Consolidated Schools in Erie, MI in 1961 and retired from there after thirty years as a vocal music teacher. Sylvia toured with her choirs for ten years. As a choir director and organist, she has served for sixty-one years at Holy Cross Lutheran, Upton United Methodist, Fairgreen Presbyterian, Faith UCC, First Baptist of Greater Toledo (where she is a member) and currently at Augsburg Church. Sylvia married Ronald Loe in 1960 and he passed away in 2007. They raised four sons and now have eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Sylvia's love of traveling shows in the fact that she has been to all fifty states and many countries, including Australia. Iceland is on her bucket list. For the last twenty six years, Sylvia​ has worked for Central Travel, as an independent salesperson, organizing trips for groups.
