What's Happening at Augsburg
Lamentations Bible Study
Starting November 11 at 7pm, we will be diving into the book of Lamentations for a Bible study and workshop. Why the book of Lamentations you ask? Well, just look around, 2020 isn't the year any of us were expecting (for better or worse). For a few of us, we thought that we would be back into a semi-regular life and able to see our friends and family in the church. Unfortunately, some that will no longer be possible.
So how do we respond in these "unprecedented" times? Most of us haven't really been taught healthy ways to deal with anger and frustration in the church.
But is that what our rich traditions say?
How do we express ourselves during this time?
These are some of the things we hope to go over and learn in this Lamentations study. During the course of these six weeks, we hope to learn more of this book, and also learn how to write our own laments in line with this rich tradition.
